Kettering Municipal Court
Welcome to the Safe Driver Online program, offered by the Kettering Municipal Court.
What is Safe Driver Online? Safe Driver Online is a program offered by the Kettering Municipal Court that allows individuals cited for traffic offenses to take an online class to avoid getting points on their driver license. You must still pay your fine to the Kettering Municipal Court, but if you complete the Safe Driver Online program, your case will not result in a conviction and you won't get points added to your license.
How do I get started? Visit the Kettering Municipal Court's website to pay your ticket online. Next, click here to purchase the Safe Driver Online program for $24.95. You will receive login instructions by email.
Can I use a smartphone? Yes. You can complete the program on a computer, or on a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet.
What is the deadline to finish the course? You have 60 days from the date of your citation to complete the program. The course takes about 2 hours from start to finish. You can do it all at once, or do part and then pick up where you left off.
What happens when I'm done with the course? Once you successfully complete the program, Safe Driver Online will notifiy the Kettering Municipal Court of your successful program completion. At that point, your case will be dismissed and points will not be put on your license.
Please Note: If you do not complete the program by the deadline, a conviction will be entered and sent to the Ohio BMV with points assessed against your license.
